Nostalgia
“There is no greater sorrow Than to recall a happy time When miserable.”
― Dante Alighieri
👱🏻♂️Hey everyone, I am back to talk about something we all experience from time to time - nostalgia.
✍🏻Nostalgia is a complex emotion that arises when we find ourselves alone and often elicits a mix of joy and sorrow. The intensity of this emotion largely depends on our present circumstances. When we are working towards our future goals, nostalgia can evoke more feelings of sadness. However, when we have achieved a sense of stability and contentment in our lives, nostalgia can be a lighter and less burdensome feeling.
👱🏻♂️"I am a nostalgic person who often feels a sense of longing when I think about old memories. As a child, my friends and I would gather beneath the mango trees to dream about the future and play energetic games of kabbadi. During those times, we lived in the present and didn't worry about what the future might hold. We made noise, fought, talked, and shared countless splendid moments together."
👨🏻💻As I grew up, I made some new friends, and among them, a few were very close to my heart. I miss them dearly, and I hope that they will reach out to me so we can catch up😢😢, but unfortunately, that hasn't happened yet. Additionally, I sometimes find myself dwelling on past mistakes and things I wish I hadn't done. However, I know that those days are now behind me, and I must focus on the present and the future.
👨🏻💻"After that, I realized that to avoid idleness, we should always keep ourselves busy with productive work. Whenever we feel that we have shortcomings, we should focus on those areas and work on improving them. By doing so, we can hope to get all the things that we have missed.
